Plans: Garage Apartment Plans
We have designed a series of plans with smaller, more modest living quarters over the garage. We refer to these plans as our garage apartments while some still refer to these as carriage houses. Either way, we have found these to be very popular. Garage apartment designs generally offer a two-car or three-car garage along with finished living space. The apartment area typically provides a compact kitchen, simple living area and one or two bedrooms and baths. Our garage apartment plans are great for a number of uses. They are handy for college students during school and beyond graduation. Long-term stay guests may find the additional privacy more comfortable. If the city permits, they can be ideal for rental use. Perhaps the additional living space makes it easier to entertain by the pool. These designs can even be used for in-law quarters. Some plans in this collection offer living quarters on the main floor beside the garage instead of above, ideal for occupants who may have difficulty with stairs. The garage apartment plans in this collection are available in a variety of sizes and styles.
