Plans: Garage Apartment Plans
Sometimes a little extra living space is needed along with additional garage space. We have a number of plans that combine the two in the form of a carriage house. These designs come in a variety of sizes in both the garage space and the living area. They can range from just one vehicle stall to three or more. Garage apartment floor plans range in size and layout, and typically feature a kitchen area, a living space and one or more bedrooms. Some may be two levels with the unfinished garage area on the first level and the living space located above. Others may be designed all on one level with the living area situated beside the garage, just right for those who have difficulty using stairs. Garage apartment plans are great for a number of uses. For the at-home college student or recent graduate they can function as a safe and comfortable "stepping-stone" to complete independence. Long-term guests may find the additional privacy of garage with apartment plans to be more comfortable. If your city permits, garage apartments can even be used as a rental unit.
